The city of Denver, Colorado requires anyone intending to rent out his or her residential property to anyone for at least 30 days to obtain a rental license, per the "Healthy Residential Rentals for All" program. This can only be obtained by following specific regulations and rules, including an application supplemented by certified residential property inspections, which refer to minimum habitable standards for properties that must be adhered to at all times by the property owner or risk the license being suspended or revoked. This program does not apply to short-term rentals within city limits. Learn more how these regulations and rules work below.
