Per a Denver City ordinance, for you, the owner of a residential rental property to legally rent out your unit(s) to anyone, you must have a license to do so. This involves submitting to a residential rental inspection, passing it, determining how many licenses you need, preparing for the online application via the online training videos, gathering all required documentation, then filling out the application and paying the requisite fees. Obviously, not doing these steps will lead to you not obtaining the license you need to legally rent out your property, but there are more reasons why you can be denied a license by Denver's licensing authority. Read more about these reasons below.
