Residential Rental Ordinance Denver CO
Denver Residential Rental Property License Suspension and Revocation A residential rental license can be suspended or revoked at any time if any of the rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 32 of the Denver Housing Code of Ordinance and in Article VIII, Licensing of Residential Rental Property. If the property is assumed to be in violation, the license can be suspended or revoked after an investigation is conducted and code violations discovered via the rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 32 of the Denver Housing Code of Ordinance and by the Director of the Department of Housing Stability of the City and County of Denver. Residential Rental Property License Suspension, Revocation: Other Issues If an owner has his or her license suspended or revoked, that will not impact any other agreement he or she has with the tenant at the time, nor will impact any other license with any other tenant. However, the owner will not enter at any time into any new agreement regarding a unit with any tenant, nor renew any existing agreements while the license suspension or revocation exists. The owner must take all necessary steps to address the disciplinary action in order to remove the license suspension or revocation and enable him or her to enter new agreements and renew existing agreements with a proper license.
